Meditation as you might have guessed is one of the most natural gifts to mankind ever. The ability to just concentrate and focus on thoughts is life-changing. Meditation will not only help you improve concentration, but it’ll also help you lower stress levels, make better decisions, think about life, and most importantly it’ll help you get disciplined. We look at all these Millionaires, and successful people, wondering what are their habits.
It is no secret that Meditation is practiced by more than 50% of successful people. Many notable figures like Oprah Winfrey and Jeff Weiner admire the habit of Meditation. Getting Started with Meditation isn’t that complex. All you have to do is just focus on inhaling and exhaling. People make it sound really complex but I can assure you it’s not. I personally learned Meditation from this monk on YouTube.
Cold Showers are one of the most underrated habits. That is to say, we ignore it thinking well, its cold water and I don’t like it. This is where the smallest of decisions can change your habits. If you want to become successful, you have to start doing things you don’t want. To understand, you must note that your sub-conscious mind is tweaked for bad habits. The only way you can change it is by doing activities that it hesitates to do.
The goal is to get out of the comfort zone, and start doing something productive. Apart from getting you disciplined, Cold Showers will also help improve blood circulation, strengthen immunity, keep skin and hair healthy, increase energy and well-being.
Start Taking Cold Showers from today. It won’t be easy at the start, but remember if It were easy, everyone would be doing it. Once you regularly practice it, your subconscious mind won’t hesitate in the future. Think about a thief, who feels bad after he robs for the first time. However, as months pass by and he keeps robbing. His subconscious mind gets trained, and he does not feel regret anymore. This is why Consistency is important and dangerous at the same time.
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies”George RR Martin
Another powerful Habit is Book Reading. This is my favourite habit because It engages with me another life. Whenever I am reading a book I feel like I am living life from another person’s perspective. Book Reading has several advantages but the most important advantage is that it’ll help you get disciplined. If you really want to win at life and become successful. Start Reading Books from Today. According to research, “85 percent of self-made millionaires read two or more books per month”. Book Reading will not only help you get out of your comfort zone and gain knowledge. It’ll also help you improve grammar, concentration, reading, and most Importantly get you motivated.
Waking Up At 5 AM
I know its fun to sleep without schedule. Ignore all alarms, and never get out of that warm bed. However, if you want to develop powerful habits and become successful. It’s time to wake up early and join the 5 AM Club. By the way, 5 AM Club is a book by Robin Sharma, that I’ll highly recommend you to read. So what 5 AM Club does is that it’ll help you set a tone for the rest of the day. Think about that for a second. You wake up at 5 AM and did something out of your comfort zone. Likewise, you took disciplinary action at the start of the day, and congratulations. Now you have set a powerful tone for the rest of the day. On the other hand, waking up at 5 AM will also help you get your most important tasks done. While everyone is sleeping, you are working in silence.
“Work hard in silence, let your success be your noise.”Frank Ocean
Further, once you have done all tasks in the morning, it’s time to start working on different things for the rest of the day.
People often ask me how do you consistently wake up at 5 AM Every day. Here are the steps you should follow.
- Download Alarmy App.
- Set the Alarm for 5 AM, Use QR Code or Picture in Washroom for Unlock.
- Whenever the Alarm Goes off, get out of the bed using 5 Seconds Rule explained earlier.
- Wash your Face with Cold Water, and Get Some Caffeine.
Power of Now Eckhart Tolle
“You may delay, but time will not, and lost time is never found again”— Benjamin Franklin
I first came across Power Of Now in a book by Eckhart Tolle. I was very addicted to the book and finished it within 2 days. Likewise, I learned a lot of things from that book, but most importantly I learned the “Power of Now”. So, what is the Power of Now?
Power of Now means taking immediate and instant action. When you have something to do, any task, or any goal. Just get up, and do it instantly. Similarly, when you will start to practice the power of now. You might just end up beating procrastination. Remember, that beating procrastination is a really powerful tool. If you are able to do that, you will be successful.
In the same vein, start applying the 5 seconds rule by Mel Robbins. The 5-Second Rule combined with Power of Now is a really powerful and motivating tool. When you have a task, like cleaning dishes. Count from 1 to 5 loudly. As you say to reach the 5, immediately get up and start doing that task. Defeat your brain, train your subconscious mind to become pro-active. On the other hand, think about those who daydream. They wake up with excellent thoughts and dreams. However, at the end of the day, they have done or achieved nothing. That is because they procrastinate so much. And only the way you will get out of it is through Power of Now and 5 Seconds Rule by Mel Robbins
