In most people’s opinions, it sounds too much like a cliché but the fact is when something true has been stated too often, it doesn’t make it any less true.
To others, it sounds so much like a farfetched possibility. Lol! How can one man change the world?! How narcissistic do you really have to be to believe something like that?! It’s just….well….impossible.
But then, I think about how the Coronavirus started. Someone ate something they shouldn’t eat, fiddled with something they shouldn’t have touch, or went somewhere they shouldn’t go. Either way, however the virus came to be, it moved from that one person to another person, and another, and yet another. Now, more than 17 million people have had the virus.
Is it really impossible how deep the impact of just one person can be? Yes! But who are we to blame ourselves for believing the worst? It is, after all, hard to embrace the fact that our concepts, that our ideas matter beyond our local environs.
Because of this, we sell ourselves short. Too short.
Would anyone really listen to my music? Would anyone find sense in the things I hope to do? Is it not too big a dream to wish for the world not to be oblivious of my capabilities? Am I not just a drop in the ocean?!
Maybe, but you can cause a ripple, and you have no idea how far that ripple can reach, or what powerful sea creatures it can wake.
It’s a bit difficult to believe, but it is true.
I have come to realize though that negativity spreads a lot faster than positivity. Negative energies explode like a nuclear bomb. Spreads. Booms.
Positivity moves at a lot slower pace.
And ideas?! Ideas are very much like viruses, without a predefined polarity. They could be good, they could be bad.
They spread from person to person. From people to people. Like bugs, pests, they latch onto them and claim their minds. For others, they seep so deep into pores; into their subconscious that these people begin to live their lives according to the dictates of the idea without realizing that they have been infected by it. Without realizing that the seed of an idea has taken root within them.
Ideas are powerful!
One man, just one man sparked the flames of the second world war. Look what became of the world a few years later.
Though it might take a long time for positivity to brew change, it is possible for it to effect change on the largest scale.
It is sad that some revolutionaries have to die before the world listens. Like George Floyd whose death sparked a revolution.
Like many other martyrs who were more popular in death than they were alive.
But regardless, people have spread their ideas while they were still alive and affected millions by it. You can do it too!
So stop doubting!
You matter more than you think you do!
