Classics Don’t Die and Neither Do Legends!

It is indeed sad to hear about Chadwick Boseman’s passing. He was only just 43 with so much to offer the world.

Chadwick Aaron Boseman was an American actor most renowned for his role as King T’Challa in Black Panther.

Born on the 29th of November, 1976, Chadwick died on Friday, 28th of August, 2020.

In 2016, before the release of the Marvel Production on the 16th of February, 2018, Chadwick Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer. For four years while entertaining the rest of the world, Chadwick Boseman battled hard against his sentence, absorbing chemotherapy and other specific treatment procedures.

Long before portraying the King T’Challa character, Chadwick featured in soap operas and popular television series like Law & Order, CSI:NY, and ER.

While on set, a number of times, he campaigned against colourism and stereotypical views that played out in some of the scripts he was expected to act.

If he were a book, he has become a classic that everyone would read- including generations unborn. His story is one told in every great book: how a strong character defies unfavourable odds and weathers brutal storms to come out refined at the end of the tale.

His tale is a great but tragic one, and like every great classic left behind, the world will forever remember his contributions. He gave life to our favorite comics. He embodied strength.

It is only a lesson to the rest of us: to live our days like it’s our last. We should not allow our challenges to hold us back. Why should we live in fear? Why should we hold back our gifts?

Giving to the world takes courage. We never know what our favorite authors or actors were going through when they birthed their best works, yet they did.

Chadwick has revealed firsthand what strength feels like. He says to us, it is possible to tap into our strength with boldness in the face of oppression and struggles.

Classics live forever and legends like Chadwick Boseman will never be forgotten.

Sometimes you need to get knocked down to understand what fight is.

Rest on Chadwick! Wakanda forever!
